Recently, CIMC ProWave Qingdao conducted an emergency drill for fire in its battery cell warehouse and evacuation from its office building. The drill, which combined theoretical simulation with practical operation, aimed to enhance employees' safety awareness and emergency response capabilities.
1Preliminary Deployment: Desktop Simulation Strengthens the "Security Defense Line"
On July 23, following the HSE Safety Committee meeting, the company deployed fire drills, explained the emergency plan, clarified responsibilities, and conducted tabletop exercises focusing on scenarios such as "battery cell thermal runaway" and "evacuation organization" to anticipate emergencies. The leadership emphasized: "We must approach safety with a constant sense of urgency, making emergency response an instinct."
2Practical Drills: Multiple Teams Collaborate to Create a Tight "Safety Defense Line"
In the subsequent live-fire drill, upon receiving the alarm, the firefighting team, wearing self-contained breathing apparatus and carrying fire extinguishers, swiftly rushed to the scene to accurately extinguish the initial fire. The evacuation and rescue team quickly arrived at the office building, warehouse, and surrounding areas, guiding employees to cover their mouths and noses and establishing evacuation routes for an orderly evacuation, ensuring speed and order throughout. The safety and security team quickly demarcated a cordon around the scene, strictly controlling personnel entry and exit and ensuring unobstructed rescue channels. The medical rescue team stood by, ready to provide emergency treatment to the injured. The entire drill was recorded, achieving fire extinguishing in 1 minute and complete evacuation in 2 minutes. After the drill, all personnel evaluated the exercise on-site based on the actual situation. The emergency drill commander summarized the exercise, affirming its effectiveness, pointing out areas for improvement, and the comprehensive management department formulated an improvement plan. The drill concluded successfully.

This full-process fire emergency drill served as both a practical test of the HSE Safety Committee's requirements and a comprehensive assessment of the results of routine ERT (Emergency Response) drills.
